An autumn update from the Managing Editor of the online magazine.
It’s mid-autumn and we’re getting very close to the holidays. Our August issue had a few hiccups at press, delaying our online publication as well, but we’ve recovered, and you can now find a sampling of articles online from it and our October issue. The latest articles available online include the Top 10 Pastry Chefs for 2013, a spot on Kerry Vincent’s foray into primetime, another look at Material Handling with JMPurePastry—bringing you jam recipes in the spirit of fall, and our Dessert Trio creates a trio of recipes inspired by fresh strawberries.
Don’t Lose Your Temper 2 Giveaway
Members of our social network rose to the challenge during the Don’t Lose Your Temper 2 (DLYT2) Giveaway, showing support for their fellow professionals, for DessertProfessional.com, and for the community of collaboration that we are working to build online. The DLYT2 Giveaway ran from July 15th to October 14th 2013 and was sponsored by Chocovision, Demarle, and DessertProfessional.com. The grand prize winner will receive Chocovision’s Revolation 2 Chocolate Tempering Machine, a state-of-the-art addition to any kitchen, retail value $579.00. We will be announcing the winners very soon.
If you are not a member of the Connect Network, we encourage dessert professionals from all backgrounds to register and connect with your peers across the globe. Membership will also make you eligible for our member’s only events and giveaways.
Award-winning Site Design
Lastly, our continued hard work on DessertProfessional.com online magazine has been incredibly fruitful. In October, TENSHI Advertising and DessertProfessional.com were awarded the 2013 WebAward for Outstanding Achievement in Web Development and Magazine Standard of Excellence by the Web Marketing Association. Click here to see more on the award.
Also, keep an eye out for the new column in the upcoming December print issue titled "The Business of Dessert." In it, I'm excited to share some points for reflection from my experience in a world where advertising meets business consulting meets dessert. Until next time...
Thank you for your readership and support.
